Good Morning Precious One. Here is our thought for today:
Dr. Dolphy Cross was born in St. Ann, Jamaica. He received his ministerial and professional training at West Indies College, now Northern Caribbean University, Andrews University, Trinity Theological Seminary, The University of Miami, and Argosy University. Dr. Cross is an evangelist, a clinical pastoral educator, a family therapist, a psychotherapist, and a conflict resolution specialist. He created “Cross’ Basement Theory for Couples Conflict Resolution” now a published book. This is a conflict resolution diagnostic instrument in Couples and Family Therapy.
Dr. Cross served in Jamaica, St. Lucia, Barbados, and impacted Trinidad and the entire Eastern Caribbean as well as North America, England and Africa as an evangelist and family-life educator. While serving in Bridgetown, Barbados, he was invited to lecture at the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Education on Value Education. He also served as education consultant for Trinity Theological Seminary in Indiana, USA.
Dr. Cross served the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventist as family, health, and religious liberty director from 2012-2016. He currently serves as the senior pastor for the Loxahatchee Grove and Acreage District of SDA Churches in Florida.
`` His wife Beverly loves people and with a keen desire to work with her husband in family ministry, she completed her Ph.D. in Christian Counseling in 2017. Beverly served Southeastern Conference of SDA as secretary and receptionist for ten years and retired in December 2017. She was appointed a Notary Public for the State of Florida by Governor Rick Scott. Drs Dolphy and Beverly Cross are certified facilitators for Prepare Enrich and conduct family enrichment workshops and seminars nationally and internationally. They both share four sons, one daughter, three daughters in law, and seven grandchildren. Dr. Cross believes that humility is power therefore, we can all become powerful people if we remain humble.
